Teacher faces more charges
Friday, March 8, 2013
A teacher who was arrested for sexually assaulting a student is facing more charges following an investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Jeremy A. Pierce, who worked at Port City Christian Academy on Greenwood Road, was charged on Wednesday with molestation of a juvenile. Bond was set at $25,000. The offense dates back to 1996 when Pierce was 17 and committed a sexual assault on a 6-year-old girl, said Det. James Moore.
Pierce remains in the Caddo Correctional Center after being arrested on Feb. 13 for aggravated rape, sexual battery, and prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student. His bond on the original charges was set at $750,000.
Pierce, 33, is from Keithville.
