Vivian man arrested for attempted murder

GREGORY, ROBERT
DOB: 01/22/1983
Race: B   Sex: M
Height: 5.07   Weight: 150

A Vivian man was arrested today in connection with a shooting last weekend in north Caddo Parish, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Earlier this morning, detectives with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office executed arrest and search warrants at 202 E. California and took 30-year-old Robert Sean Gregory into custody. Gregory’s twin brother, John Michael Gregory, is also wanted by the Sheriff’s Office but is still at large.

Detective Jason Morgan, who obtained the warrants, said detectives located and seized various types of ammunition and a shotgun from the house.

The shooting occurred on Saturday, Feb. 2, near the corner of Bailey and Pardue streets in Vivian. Roderick Wilson, 28, also from Vivian, was shot in the buttocks and was treated and released from North Caddo Hospital.

Morgan said the shooting is believed to be in retaliation for an argument earlier in the day between Wilson and John Michael Gregory. The Gregorys returned a couple of hours later, both armed, and fired shots into the air and at a house at 301 S. Pardue where Wilson was sitting on the steps. The gunfire also hit a passing vehicle that was occupied by Wilson’s family members.

Anyone with information about the location of John Michael Gregory is asked to contact Det. Morgan with the Sheriff’s Office at 675-2170 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
