An employee in the Caddo School Board’s Buildings and Grounds Department was arrested for theft for using School Board supplies to complete a personal job.
Antonio D. Johns, 35, of 4548 South Fairway in Shreveport, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for theft over $1500 and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Johns is accused of using a School Board truck to dump gravel purchased with School Board funds at a private business.
An investigation by Sheriff’s Det. Terry Richardson found that Johns was hired to supply gravel material for a new parking lot at the construction site on Mansfield Road.Johns obtained over $2400 in materials from a local company to complete the job and charged the materials to a School Board account. Citizens witnessed him delivering the gravel in a School Board truck and alerted School Board officials of his activities. The School Board then notified the Caddo Sheriff’s Office. Go Back
