A Shreveport woman was arrested for stealing money from her employer, which she later gambled away, according to investigators.
Martha Clark, 57, of the 400 block of Mt. Zion Road, was arrested for theft following an investigation by Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Bobby Herring.
Clark admitted stealing over $11,000 from County Market on Nelson Street, where she worked as a bookkeeper. However, detectives are investigating a total loss of $89,523 reported by the company. The money includes missing deposits and change from the bank used for the store’s daily operations.
Clark is currently on probation for stealing $10,000 from her previous employer, Pinehill Water Works. Go Back
