The former bookkeeper at a north Caddo oil field production company was arrested today on a warrant charging her with stealing from the company, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Carol Ann Williamson, 58, of Ida, was arrested on a 2010 warrant charging her with criminal theft. Williamson’s former employer told sheriff’s deputies that over $60,000 was missing from his company, and an internal audit traced at least half of the missing money to Williamson.
Sheriff’s Detective Frank Edmondson said Williamson worked for Tri State Sales and Productions between from 2002 to 2009, when she took leave because of illness. While Williamson was out sick, the new bookkeeper noticed problems with the accounts. Specifically, an account that was to be used strictly to write royalty checks was used by Williams for other transactions. Go Back
