The third suspect in a robbery plot that left a man unconscious was arrested in Bienville Parish and has now been returned here to face charges.
Jale Hopwood, 26, of Saline, LA, was located by the U.S. Marshal's Office on Thursday, Nov. 17. He was arrested on a warrant obtained by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Andy Scoggins and booked into the Bienville Parish Jail. He was then transported to Caddo Correctional Center later that day where he was booked for second-degree robbery.
Hopwood and two other suspects are accused of discussing the robbery on the way to the victim's home Oct. 22. Once there, the victim was choked until he was unconscious, and his wallet, money, and prescription drugs were stolen.
Michael Aaron Sanders, 21, and Aleya Cooper, 23, also face charges in the case. Go Back
