Saturday is the last day for the public to sight-in hunting rifles at the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Training Academy.
Each year, Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator makes the shooting range available to the public for sighting in rifles and muzzleloaders for the upcoming deer season. Public sight-in days have been held each week-end since Oct. 1.
On the last day, participants will only be allowed to sight-in deer rifles. The range will be open from 8 a.m. until noon.
Targets will be furnished and shooters will be assisted by state-certified firearms instructors.Shooters must provide their own ammunition.They are also asked to arrive with unloaded weapons and must bring eye and ear protection.
