A Shreveport man was killed in an I-49 construction accident near Hosston this morning.
Caddo Sheriff's Sgt. Michael Gray said the driver of a dump truck was backing up to dump a load of concrete in front of a paving machine when he backed over a man working on the road near the front of the paver. The pedestrian, Ronald L. Murray, 40, of the 6700 block of Raspberry Lane, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident occurred at the I-49 construction site about one mile south of LA Hwy. 2 around 11:35 this morning.
The accident remains under investigation by the Caddo Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit and OSHA. Go Back
