A Shreveport woman was booked into Caddo Correctional Center today for stealing from the daycare where she was employed, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Shelly Sumrall, 26, of the 2000 block of Crabapple in Shreveport, was arrested for felony theft following an investigation by Caddo Deputy Alan Davidson of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force.

Sumrall is accused of pocketing $22,000 in cash payments made by parents of the children enrolled at Kids Pointe Daycare between February of 2007 and January 2008.
