Caddo sheriff's detectives arrested an 81-year-old man on Tuesday for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in 2005, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Charles A. Inman, of the 100 block of Inman Drive in Bossier City, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on one count of molestation of a juvenile following an investigation by Sgt. Mickey McDaniel of the Youth Services Division.

Inman was a family friend of the girl and was attending a gathering at another family member's house where the victim was also visiting when the incident occurred.
