A Keithville man died this morning after his truck was hit by an oncoming vehicle on a foggy road.
Caddo Sheriff's deputies say Dylan Parker, 27, of West Monroe, was westbound on Keithville-Springridge Road just before 7:30 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and hit a 2004 GMC pick-up being driven by 70-year-old Larry Bordelon. Bordelon was taken to LSU Health Sciences Center where he later died.
Deputies say the road was foggy and Parker was unaware there was a 90-degree curve. He was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram work truck while pulling an ATV on a trailer.
Parker was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for negligent homicide, driving too fast for road conditions, and driving under suspension due to a previous DWI. The accident is being investigated by the Caddo Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit. Go Back
