Caddo sheriff's deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in south Caddo Parish early in the morning on Tuesday November 2.
Albert Martinez, 68, of Shreveport, was entering I-49 northbound from Southern Loop around 7:40 a.m. when his F-250 pickup went off the road, crossed a ditch, and struck a fence.
Martinez was transported to Willis-Knighton South where he was pronounced dead, but deputies with the Caddo Sheriff's Traffic Safety Unit said it did not appear that he suffered any major injuries from the accident. They said Martinez was not traveling at a high rate of speed, and the accident, which remains under investigation, most likely was caused by a medical emergency. Go Back
