Caddo sheriff's deputies arrested a Vivian woman on drug charges following a traffic stop in north Caddo Parish over the weekend, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
Elizabeth Bussey, 33, was driving on Hwy. 1 north of Oil City when Deputy Jeremy Bergren stopped her vehicle for a traffic violation. During the investigation, a passenger in the car, 18-year-old Vernon Chandler of Shreveport, was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Further investigation determined that Bussey had two large plastic bags containing about a half-pound of marijuana in her purse.
Bussey was arrested by Deputy Bergren for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Chandler was arrested by DeputyE.J. Parker for simple possession of marijuana. Both Bussey and Chandler were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center. Go Back
