Two Arrested Following Exchange of Gunfire in Vivian
Two men were arrested following a shooting incident on Thursday at an apartment complex in Vivian, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.
On July 2, 2026, the Vivian Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at the apartment complex located in the 100 block of Williamson Way in Vivian, Louisiana. After arriving on scene, Vivian officers requested assistance from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.
Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office patrol deputies responded and discovered multiple vehicles had been struck by gunfire in what appeared to be an exchange of gunfire between two individuals involved in an ongoing dispute.
CPSO Detective Lucky responded to investigate and determined that Cardarrio Watson, 35, and James Brown, 26, both from Vivian, had engaged in a verbal altercation before both allegedly fired weapons at one another. Although no one was injured during the incident, multiple vehicles sustained damage from the gunfire.
Following the investigation, Detective Lucky contacted both Watson and Brown. After further investigation of the incident, both men were arrested and transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where they were booked on one count each of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Illegal Use of Weapons.
