Caddo Sheriff's Office offers a safety workshop focused on disaster preparedness
Every day, lives are disrupted by disasters—whether natural, like tornadoes, or man-made, such as an active shooter incident. The devastation can be life-changing, but preparation can make all the difference.
Join Caddo Sheriff's Lieutenant Tony LeBlanc on Thursday, September 11, at 6 p.m. for a Natural and Man-Made Hazards Preparation Workshop at Sheriff's Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Ave, Shreveport, LA. This event is designed to equip Caddo residents with the essential knowledge and tools they need to prepare. While we cannot avoid disasters, we can take steps to minimize their impact, protect our families and property, and empower our communities to recover and rebuild.
Workshop Highlights:
- Emergency Preparedness/Disaster Kits
- Tornadoes, Storms, and Floods
- Active Shooter/Attacks Awareness
Participation is free, but space is limited to 25 participants. Early registration is encouraged to secure a spot. Contact Deputy Vernita Williams at vernita.williams@caddosheriff.org or call 318-681-0869.
