The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is planning to hold an Auxiliary Academy from September 4, 2025, to October 27, 2025. Sessions will be held every Monday and Thursday evening from 6 PM to 10 PM at the Sheriff's Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewela Road. 

The Academy will provide training, policies, and procedures necessary for becoming an Auxiliary Deputy with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. If you are interested in joining our Auxiliary Team, please contact Deputy Pam Lamay at 318-681-1113 or Sergeant Tabatha Wynn at 318-681-1121. Applications can be picked up at 4910 N. Market St., Shreveport, LA, at 71107. Once your application is processed, you will be notified of the outcome, and if accepted, you will be scheduled for the Fall academy. 

***Auxiliary Deputy Description:***
The Auxiliary Unit plays a crucial role in the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. It is composed of volunteers who assist with various tasks, including traffic control, crowd management at special events, funeral escorts, and addressing weather-related issues such as road closures and downed trees. Auxiliary Deputies may also help contact crime victims, participate in neighborhood watch programs, canvass neighborhoods, deliver to the Louisiana Food Bank, support the Caddo Council on Aging, assist motorists, and help patrol as needed, among other responsibilities.
