Two separate pursuits occurred in the northern and southern parts of the parish last evening, according to Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On May 31, just  10:30 PM, the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office and the Plain Dealing Police Department began pursuing a stolen vehicle. However, the pursuit was terminated once the vehicle entered Caddo Parish on LA Highway 2.

Lieutenant Gray spotted a stolen Chrysler 300 on LA Highway 2 near Centerville Road and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over. Gray continued the pursuit until reaching the city limits of Vivian, Louisiana, where the Vivian Police Department joined the chase. Both Gray and the Vivian Police pursued the vehicle through the city until the driver, Nicholas Bush, 17, jumped out of the vehicle. Vivian police officers quickly caught up with Bush and used a Taser to compel him to comply. Upon searching him, they discovered a handgun, ammunition, and a THC vape pen.

Bush was subsequently transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked for aggravated flight, possession of a handgun by a person under 18, and resisting an officer.

Shortly thereafter on the south side of the parish, Deputy Daniel Clayton attempted to stop a vehicle at the intersection of Bert Kouns and Antoine. The vehicle fled, and Clayton pursued it until the Mercedes crashed in the 9000 block of US Highway 80. The driver and a passenger fled on foot, while two passengers remained with the vehicle and were detained.

Deputies were able to set up a perimeter until a drone unit and a K9 unit arrived at the scene. Once the drone was airborne, it spotted the two suspects, and the K9 unit was able to apprehend them without incident. The driver, Cozy Graham, age 20, was arrested for aggravated flight from an officer and resisting an officer. The passenger, Havana Madden, age 18, was also arrested for resisting an officer. Both Graham and Madden were transported and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on the mentioned charges.

Thank you to Team C of CPSO and the surrounding agencies for their outstanding help with all the calls last night. You all did a fantastic job!
