Caddo Parish Patrol deputies are investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in one individual’s death this afternoon in South Caddo Parish, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr. 

At 12:40 PM on March 5, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 13800 block of Keithville Keatchie Road in southern Caddo Parish. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a full-size pickup truck in a ditch on the east side of the road, with two individuals inside. Caddo Fire Districts 4 and 6 also arrived at the scene and transported the driver, who had life-threatening injuries, along with the passenger, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, to LSU/Oschner at 1501 Kings Highway in Shreveport. Unfortunately, upon arrival at the hospital, medical staff at LSU/Ochsner pronounced the driver deceased.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
