In recognition of International Women’s Day, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will host a Situational Awareness Workshop for women on Saturday, March 8, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sheriff's Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Ave, Shreveport, LA 71118. The free workshop is open to women ages 18 and older and will provide essential safety strategies to enhance personal awareness in various situations.

Participants will learn how to identify online and in-person scams, recognize potential human trafficking situations, and handle incidents involving date rape drugs. Additional sessions will cover the signs of domestic and dating violence, along with guidance on reporting, accessing support networks, and developing safety plans.
