Caddo Parish Patrol deputies are currently investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of an individual on the morning of February 2, as reported by Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.

At 4:40 AM on February 2, deputies were responding to a separate call on Interstate 49 when they came across a silver Honda Civic that had veered off the road just north of LA Highway 71 and was fully engulfed in flames. Caddo Fire District 8 arrived at the scene, extinguished the vehicle fire, and discovered the driver deceased inside the car.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
