A Caddo Parish Sheriff's Deputy, Earl Armstrong Jr., 61, has been arrested for battery against his dating partner.

Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr. reported that investigators were alerted by Armstrong's girlfriend, who accused him of committing battery against her after she confronted him about seeing another woman. She provided investigators with a video of the incident. After being read his Miranda rights, Armstrong admitted to the battery. Armstrong has been employed at the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office since April 2019.

He was arrested on one count of battery of a dating partner and has been booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on the aforementioned charges.
