The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, led by Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr., is excited to announce the launch of the Explorer POST Program.

A formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office and the Norwela Council of Scouting America was signed during a media event this afternoon (January 13) in the Media Room on the 7th floor of Government Plaza (505 Travis Street).

The Explorer POST Program is designed for youth aged 13 to 18 and serves as a hands-on educational platform that combines career exploration with leadership development. This initiative demonstrates the Sheriff's Office's commitment to fostering community engagement and equipping the next generation with the necessary tools for success. It will allow Caddo students to explore career pathways in law enforcement and develop essential skills for their future careers.

An open house will take place at The Sheriff's Safety Town on January 27, inviting new explorers and their families to participate in the program's inaugural year.
