Officials in Caddo Parish gathered at the Emergency Operation Center (E.O.C.) in Shreveport this morning to discuss the potential for a winter blast later this week and how it could impact the parish.

Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr., who serves as Caddo Parish’s Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Director, invited representatives from city, state, and federal government agencies, service organizations, and health and public safety offices. Those attending the meeting received a weather update from the Shreveport office of the National Weather Service.

Caddo officials will continue to monitor the situation and work closely with the National Weather Service to keep residents of Caddo Parish informed. For the latest weather updates, a link to the National Weather Service's website has been added to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office website, where you can find the local forecast.
