Sheriff Whitehorn opens sub-stations for tax payments

Sheriff Whitehorn understands that unexpected issues can arise, such as tax forms being returned to the Sheriff's Office. He is dedicated to maintaining transparency with the citizens of Caddo Parish regarding the activities of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. As part of this commitment, the sheriff's office sent out over 97,948 tax notices; however, 3,136 of those notices were returned due to incorrect addresses.

Sheriff Whitehorn encourages the taxpayers of Caddo Parish to contact the Caddo Parish Assessor's Office to verify their addresses. This will help ensure that next year, they do not experience any issues receiving their tax notices.

Sheriff Whitehorn is opening both Sub-Stations for the citizens of Caddo Parish to pay their taxes on Saturday, January 11, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The North Sub-Station is located at 11411 Louisiana Highway One, Oil City, LA 71061, and the South Sub-Station is at 9956 Mansfield Road, Keithville, LA 71047. Residents are encouraged to come and pay their taxes at these locations. Please note that the final day to pay your taxes before penalties begin to accrue is January 12. The Sub-Stations will accept payment in cash, credit cards, money orders, or checks.
