Please be aware of a recent phone scam targeting Caddo Parish residents. Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office investigators have reported that scammers are impersonating Sgt. John May and calling individuals from 318-602-0696. During these calls, they demand money by claiming that there is a warrant for the person's arrest due to failure to appear for jury duty. It is essential to understand that no one from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office will ever request payments over the phone or send payment by mail.

These scammers have already targeted multiple individuals. If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately. Do not make any payments, provide personal information, or share details about gift or money cards. Stay safe and vigilant.
