Caddo Parish Patrol deputies are investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in one death on the evening of December 11, as reported by Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.

The incident occurred around 9:37 PM in the 5300 block of Shreveport/Blanchard Highway (LA Hwy 173). According to deputies, a full-size pickup truck traveling southbound veered off the road and hit a ditch, causing the vehicle to flip multiple times before landing on a metal fence. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Caddo Fire District 1.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
