The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is informing residents that this year’s property tax notices will be delayed due to a change in the required approval process. As a result, notices that are typically sent by November 1 will now be mailed starting on December 1, 2024, with taxes due by December 31.

“We remain committed to keeping the community informed and providing sufficient time for residents to fulfill tax obligations,” said Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr. “We appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents as we work through the updated timeline.”

Caddo Parish property taxes may be paid:

● In person at the Tax Department located in the Caddo Parish Courthouse, 501 Texas Street, Room 101, Shreveport, LA 71101. Payment may be made with cash, check, cashier’s check, money order or credit card. Personal or business checks are not accepted after February 28th each year.

● You may mail your tax payment to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, PO Box 20905, Shreveport, LA 71120-0905.
