Every four years, the Caddo Assessor reassesses property values in Caddo Parish. Due to the increased property values, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office has decided to maintain the property tax millage rate of 13.59, which voters approved during the 2022 tax election.

Maintaining this rate will provide essential funding for the Sheriff's Office's missions, including updating body cameras, recruiting, and community relations programs. The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office previously adjusted the millage rate by rolling it forward in 1996, 2000, 2008, and 2018.

In accordance with Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B), a public hearing of the Caddo Parish Law Enforcement District will take place at the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, Government Plaza, 505 Travis Street, Suite 700, Shreveport, Louisiana on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to discuss and adopt our 2024 millage rate.
