On Monday, the 26th, at 7:55 am, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Caddo 911 Center regarding an active shooter at Keithville Elementary and Middle School, located at 12201 Mansfield Road, Keithville, LA.

The school was immediately placed on lockdown, and the School Liaison Officer (SLO) and other responding deputies searched the school but did not find a shooter. All students were located and confirmed safe.

Juvenile detectives arrived at the scene and initiated their preliminary investigation. An update will follow once more information becomes available.

---UPDATE---

After further investigation, Detective Ray Saunders identified two students as the suspects who called 911. The juveniles, aged 11 and 12, were taken to Caddo Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing.
