Shreveport business owner arrested for extortion and false imprisonment
A Shreveport business owner is under arrest for extortion and false imprisonment, said Sheriff Jay Long.
Victor Llanito, 34, owner of SBC Bail Bonds and co-owner of a thrift shop business, is accused of having his bond agents place his business partner in custody and transporting her in handcuffs to his office in Caddo Parish without their consent on April 24. Llanito is the bondsman for the victim in another criminal case.
The victim was then instructed to sign a lease release form designed to remove them from the thrift shop, resulting in a loss of $104,400 to the victim. After signing and notarizing the document, the victim was allowed to leave the office.
Caddo Sheriff's Detective Roosevelt Tadlock obtained a warrant for Llanito's arrest for extortion and false imprisonment. Llanito turned himself in at the Caddo Correctional Center on June 25.
