CPSO to conduct Tax Certificate sales June 4
Thursday, May 23, 2024

The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office online tax sale will be held Tuesday, June 4, for any unpaid 2023 property taxes over $10. Citizens can participate in the sale at www.civicsource.com.
"Please check your taxes to verify they are paid,” said Dep. Susan Johnson, manager of the CPSO Tax Department. “Many unforeseen things can happen: the payment may not have been received, it may have been received late, leaving a balance, or the homestead exemption may have been removed, causing parish taxes for the first time in years.
“Sometimes homeowners assume their taxes have been paid by their mortgage company, but verifying that taxes are paid each year is always a good idea,” she said.
Homeowners can call 318-681-0638 or visit the CPSO website at www.caddosheriff.org to check if their taxes are paid. Property owners can pay taxes online at caddosheriff.org, by phone at 833-538-8539, or in person at the CPSO Tax Office located inside the Caddo Courthouse, 501 Texas St. - Room 101 in Shreveport. The deadline to pay is 5 p.m. June 3. Taxes may be paid in cash or using a credit card, cashier's check, or money order. Personal checks are not accepted.
