The Caddo Sheriff's Office will participate in a statewide seat belt enforcement campaign aimed at educating drivers and their passengers about the importance of buckling up. The campaign will run from May 20 to June 2 and is funded by a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission. 

Caddo deputies will be participating in high-visibility enforcement to raise awareness about seat belt usage and laws with the aim of reducing injuries and fatalities on the roadways. They will be joining other law enforcement officers across the state in looking for unrestrained drivers and occupants.

Seat belts have been proven to be one of the best ways to save your life in a crash. Not wearing a seat belt is a habit that can influence young people to think it's safe to not buckle up. The "Click It or Ticket" campaign focuses on safety, education, strong laws, and law enforcement support to save lives.
