The Caddo Sheriff’s Marine Unit recovered a body from Wallace Lake earlier today, said Sheriff Jay Long.

About 10:30 this morning, patrol deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of Cypress Garden Road to check the welfare of an elderly neighbor who had not been seen for a few days. Sgt. Chad Davis located an empty canoe in the lake and later discovered a body approximately 150 yards from the shoreline.

There has been no identification of the deceased, but no foul play is suspected. CPSO is currently investigating.
