Caddo Sheriff's detectives arrested a Greenwood man for cruelty to a juvenile in south Caddo Parish, said Sheriff Jay Long.

On March 6, Detective BreAnna Gerbine investigated a report of abuse at a residence on Scott Drive. The investigation revealed that a juvenile was locked in a bedroom with unsanitary living conditions and physically abused by 53-year-old Gary Cook.

Upon further investigation, detectives were made aware of sexual abuse allegations against Cook by a female.

On March 12, Cook was arrested and booked into Caddo Correctional Center. He is charged with cruelty to juveniles and sexual battery.
