Theft at oilfield site leads to arrest
Caddo Parish deputies arrested a Rodessa man for stealing oilfield equipment valued at more than $3,000, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
The theft occurred on October 17 at a well site in the 10000 block of Rodessa-State Line Road. The site is operated by Black Bayou Operating Company.
During the investigation, it was reported to patrol deputies that a triplex pump valued at approximately $3,000 was stolen. The site was damaged during the incident which made it inoperable. Later, the pump was located next to a residential garage not far from the site.
Further investigation led Sheriff's Detective Justin Sundquist to obtain an arrest warrant for Toby Grimsley,28, of Rodessa. Grimsley was arrested this past Friday, October 20, for Theft and Simple Criminal Damage to Property. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
This investigation is still ongoing.
