A Baton Rouge contractor was arrested and charged with contractor misapplication.

Steven Damen, 26, owner of Damen Construction, was hired to build Anytime Fitness on Ellerbe Road in 2007. During construction, he failed to pay sub-contractors and material bills, and liens were placed on the building.

Damen turned himself in on a warrant obtained by Caddo Detective Alan Davidson. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on Thursday.
