Friday, September 17, 2021
SHREVEPORT, La. – Eight Southwood High School students were arrested after a fight broke out on campus around 9:30 a.m. today, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Sgt. Andy Scoggins said two groups of teenage girls ages 14 to 17 were involved. All have been suspended pending expulsion and charged with disturbing the peace by fighting. All were released to their parents.
This comes after multiple fights at the school happened yesterday resulting in multiple arrests.
Due to security concerns, Caddo Sheriff’s Office has sent several deputies to patrol the school grounds. That is in addition to the school board’s increased security.
