A former property manager has been arrested for altering company books that caused a financial loss to her employer, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Chelsea Shaw, 32, of Shreveport, turned herself in today on a warrant obtained by Sheriff’s Det. Mike King. Shaw was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for Felony Theft and Forgery.

Shaw is accused of manipulating bookkeeping records to cover payments that were never deposited into the company’s business account. Evidence showed numerous payments were falsified in the bookkeeping system causing a $3,000 loss for the business. Shaw is also accused of fraudulently copying and altering a money order while employed as the property manager.
