A Keithville couple is being questioned by Caddo Sheriff’s deputies in connection with a home burglary in the Dixie Garden neighborhood today.

The burglary occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of Dixie Garden Drive.  A man broke into the back of the residence, triggering an alarm. A neighbor witnessed the man flee on foot over the levee. The suspect got into a black Dodge Ram with a female driver.

The Sheriff’s Office radioed a description of the truck to patrol units. Caddo Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Vaitkus and other units began to circulate in the area in search of the truck.  A short while later, Vaitkus spotted the vehicle at a convenience store at Line Avenue and Pierremont Road.

The two occupants of the truck were taken into custody without incident. Evidence from the burglary was found in the truck.
