Some area children will get a chance to Shop with a Cop this week at Wal-mart on Mansfield Road.

The local Fraternal Order of Police organization - E.G. Huckabay Lodge #3 - is funding the shopping spree for 30 children who were selected based on need. Each child will be given $100 to shop for themselves or family with the assistance of Caddo sheriff’s deputies and Shreveport police officers.

The event will be happening on Thursday and Friday evening, December 19 and 20, with 15 children shopping each night. Shopping will begin at 5:30 p.m.
