Bossier murder suspect captured in Caddo Parish
Caddo Sheriff's deputies worked with Bossier Sheriff's detectives in capturing a wanted murder suspect in northern Caddo Parish, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Caddo Sheriff's patrolman arrested Richard Allen McLendon Sr (12-13-63) on LA 173 just north of Dr Martin Luther King Drive in Shreveport. McLendon was wanted in Bossier Parish for second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. After coordinating with Bossier Sheriff's detectives, Caddo Sheriff's Patrolmen apprehended McLendon during a traffic stop. Caddo detectives also assisted Bossier detectives with searching a residence on Kent Street in reference to the Bossier homicide investigation.
Richard Allen McLendon Sr was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center and will be extradited to Bossier Parish.
