CPSO investigating Vivian shooting
Thursday, May 24, 2018
The Caddo Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that left a Vivian man injured Wednesday night, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Jason Davis, 32, was shot in the leg while standing at the intersection of West Mississippi and North Hickory streets around 7:30 p.m. He was taken to North Caddo Hospital and then was transferred to University Health in Shreveport where he is still undergoing treatment.
Raven Rayshun Thomas, 24, of Vivian, turned himself in today on a warrant obtained by Caddo detectives. Thomas was charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder. He is the brother of Davis' longtime girlfriend. Detectives say the shooting was domestic in nature.
The investigation is continuing.
