Shreveporter arrested for Dairy Queen robbery
Caddo deputies arrested a Shreveport man for the September 9 armed robbery of the Dairy Queen at 5904 North Market, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
Employees were closing the restaurant when an armed suspect confronted a worker outside, ordered her back into the Dairy Queen, and then robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash. After the robbery, he fled on foot.
Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Matt Purgerson obtained a warrant for the arrest of Rodney Jefferson Jr., 45, of the 3500 block of Catherine Street, after Jefferson was identified during a CPSO investigation. Jefferson was already in jail at the Caddo Correctional Center for several unrelated robberies in Shreveport. Purgerson added charges of armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon to those he already faces.
