North Caddo man arrested during traffic stop

A Vivian man was arrested early this morning during a traffic stop after Caddo patrol deputies discovered the man was a fugitive and in possession of a large amount of marijuana, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
Rondey James Thomas, 35, of Vivian was traveling on Roy Road when he was stopped by Caddo Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Bergren for a speeding violation. Thomas was also found to have an active arrest warrant for simple battery. During a consensual search of the vehicle, deputies found over half of a pound of suspected marijuana.
Thomas was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for speeding, simple battery and possession of marijuana.
