Two severely malnourished pit bulls were rescued from a home on Tierra Drive today by agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force.
Agents executed a narcotics search warrant at 6337 Tierra Drive early this morning. No narcotics were uncovered, but agents did arrest Demond Chatman, 26, for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and cruelty to animals.
Two weapons - a handgun and a shotgun - were seized from inside the residence. The dogs were chained in the backyard without food or water. Agents said one dog was so malnourished he couldn't stand. Both dogs were turned over to Caddo Parish Animal Control officers. Go Back
