A Caddo Parish man was arrested for sending sexually explicit messages and images to a Georgia 12 year old, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Caddo Sheriff’s detectives were contacted in May by the Brookhaven, GA, Police Department about an unknown Caddo Parish person who used KIK messenger to contact a juvenile girl in the Brookhaven area. The person sent sexually explicit messages and images to the girl. She replied with messages but no images. The two did not know each other.

Sheriff’s Detective Jared Marshall conducted a locaI investigation and identified Aaron J. Perkins, 18, of the 5800 block of Old Mooringsport Road, as the suspect. Perkins was also found to be in possession of child exploitation images on a cell phone.

Perkins was arrested and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on three counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles and one count of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles.

The investigation is ongoing.
