The Caddo  Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a woman in south Caddo Parish tonight, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Mary Jean McBroome, 60, of the 2500 block of Kristiansand Court in Shreveport, was found deceased in her vehicle around 5:30 p.m. on an oilfield road off Keithville-Keatchie Road. Workers in the area said they saw the vehicle around noontime, but it wasn't until later in the day that they realized McBroome was inside.

McBroome's family reported her missing to Shreveport Police earlier in the day.

The case is being investigated as suspicious.
