High school employee arrested for inappropriate texts to student
Tuesday, May 17, 2016
An in-school suspension facilitator at Northwood High School was arrested on Monday for sending inappropriate text messages to a student, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
A 16-year-old female student reported that Thomas Dewayne Humphrey, 24, sent her several text messages beginning in 2015. Several of the texts were sexually explicit. Humphrey also attempted to meet with the student outside of the school.
The student reported the activity to the school office and the School Resource Officer.
Humphrey was arrested and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for Indecent Behavior With Juveniles and Computer-aided Solicitation of a Minor.
The case was investigated by Caddo Sheriff’s Detectives Trey Keene and Mike King.
