A server at a local restaurant was arrested for theft after an audit revealed missing money from the business, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

              Christopher Sheppard was a server at Chianti's on Line Ave from December 2014 until April 2016. Sheppard is accused of pocketing cash payments at the restaurant and clearing tickets with fake gift certificates. The total loss over a year was $2,800.

              Today, Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Doug Smith booked Sheppard into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of theft. Sheppard, 38, of Shreveport, is awaiting transfer to the Caddo Correctional Center.
