The Caddo Sheriff's Office has identified the man who died in a fatality crash on Southern Loop on Sunday as Michael Thomas DuBois, 29, of Shreveport.

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said DuBois was headed westbound on Southern Loop near Wallace Lake Road when he lost control of his vehicle and crossed over the eastbound lane. DuBois' Ford Explorer Spor Trac then crossed over a ditch and hit several trees.

DuBois was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The CPSO Traffic Safety Unit is continuing its investigation.
